The anthropogenic impacts of harvesting cordyceps on alpine ecosystem

Ophiocordyceps sinensis collection has become one of the major livelihood activities of highland communities of Bhutan. The royal government of Bhutan has rigid regulations to ensure its sustainability and reduce its impacts on fragile alpine ecosystem. However, increasing impacts of fuelwood consumption, waste and land degradation can be ascertained from the pictorial story.
